Okay, I’ve been buried for months (and months), but I’m rededicating myself to posting more often. All of my blogging energy has been focused on the Expert Fridays I administrate over at the Fog City Divas, but I’ve had several fans nudging me to stay more current over here. So…to bring you up to speed:

1. I have covers for the first three books of The Last Stand trilogy. Check them out on the Coming Soon page. There will still be a few tweaks, but you’ll get the general idea.

2. There’s a possibility that I’ll be appearing on the Tyra Banks Talk Show. I’ll definitely post notice when it gets scheduled.

3. In the November issue of SACRAMENTO Magazine, you’ll find a full-page profile on me. (There’s a copy of the profile on the Media page here at www.brendanovak.com)

4. My editor just met me in Calgary, where we had the opportunity to spend four days together and give a one-day conference to aspiring writers. I met some fabulous people and enjoyed staying with good friend and fellow author CJ Carmichael.

5. WATCH ME, the third book in The Last Stand trilogy, is done and submitted. Hooray! It’s time to start a new book!

6. THE OTHER WOMAN, part of the Dundee, Idaho series I write for Superromance, just took first place in the Laurel Wreath.

Wow, have I been remiss or what? Now that I’m blogging regularly over at www.fogcitydivas.com, I’m neglecting my own site. There’s just never enough time. But I wanted to do a quick update tonight to tell everyone about something very cool that’s going to happen this Friday. Editor Leslie Wainger is joining me for Expert Friday at the Fog City Divas. She’s blogging on her new business as a book doctor. It’s an interesting interview, and she’ll be there to answer questions, so don’t miss it!

For those of you who are following the Dundee series (and even for those who aren’t), COULDA BEEN A COWBOY will be out on Monday. Superromances are only on bookstore shelves for three weeks to a month, so get your copy while you can. Then let me know how you liked the story…

And boy, did we do well. Together with my generous donors and shoppers, I raised $141,700 for diabetes research. I’m thrilled and really hope this money helps make a difference to my son and others like him. Together with Year 1 & Year 2, the Brenda Novak On-line Auction has raised over $240,000. What will we do next year? It’s only going to get better…

The auction is off to a truly amazing start. We’ve already raised as much as we raised in last year’s entire auction. What a feat–and it’s all because of my generous donors and loyal shoppers. I hope that the reads turn into sales and great networking opportunities for those aspiring authors who win them.

But there are still a lot of things on there that are going for significantly less than they should. Check out the auction, get a great item for a great price and help me make a difference to those suffering from diabetes!
